Day Hikes in February? 2012/1/29 11:59
Hi,

I'm in Japan for 20 days and am keen to mix up my trip a bit and do a day hike or two to balance out all the days spent in the city.

Can anyone recommend a suitable place to do some hiking in February?

Ideally somewhere that has suitable temperatures (as I do not have suitable clothes for a long trek in temperatures much below 0 degrees celcius)

Many Thanks.

Misen on Miyajima is among my favorites and does not usually get (much) snow:

Mount Takao and Mitake in Tokyo:

The Boso Peninsula seems to offer some nice walks and also only rarely sees any snow.
