Cherry Blossom Spots

Below is a list of Nagasaki's most popular spots for cherry blossom viewing (hanami). See also our nationwide list of famous cherry blossom spots.

Tateyama Park
20 minutes by bus from Nagasaki Station
No admission fee
Tateyama Park is located on one of the hills surrounding Nagasaki City. About 700 cherry trees are planted on terraces all along the hillside, with views over the city. It is a popular place for holding picnics and parties under the trees. The park is lit up in the evenings.
Nagasaki Peace Park

No admission fee
Nagasaki Peace Park has around 200 cherry trees in the Hypocenter Park, and several more trees located up toward the Atomic Bomb Museum.
Inasayama Park
Accessible by ropeway or bus (see details)
No admission fee
Inasayama Park is located on Mount Inasa, which overlooks Nagasaki City and provides one of Japan's three best night views. About 350 cherry trees are planted around the large park and the slopes leading to the observation deck at the summit.
